ON-ROAD ADVISOR I
Job Information: Primary Function: Ensure the timely repair of equipment during the breakdown and accident repair cycles; to obtain maximum equipment utilization; and to keep costs at a minimum.
Description: Assists vendors in the equipment troubleshooting process ensuring timely repairs.
Responds to incoming phone calls and QualComm messages, owner-operators, and lease owner-operators in breakdown repairs.
Makes timely judgment decisions on accidents and road breakdown repairs, accident equipment removal, storage of equipment, and accident clean-up.
Negotiates directly all costs incurred during equipment breakdown and accidents to locate and hire the best-qualified vendor in the best interests of the company.
Can authorize repairs up to $1000.
Investigates and recovers all warranties possible during the vendor selection and outside repair process.
Ensures minimum down time and maximum equipment utilization during the equipment repair/storage cycle.
Controls payments issued through purchase order, Com-check, Pinnacle, MVP Preferred, and Fleet charge accounts.
Skills: Intermediate computer literacy and type 25 words per minute.
Must have exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Must be able to multitask and handle high call volume.
Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
Education Required: High school diploma or GED; formal mechanical training preferred Experience Required: Mechanical experience a plus.
Supervision Received: Minimal Confidential Data: Dispatch information, accident investigation details, and lease/owner-operator escrow account information Status: Non-Exempt
