Material Handler, Off Shift: Pine State Trading Co.
The Material Handler is responsible for storage, material handling, order fulfillment.
Pine State Trading Co., a leader in the Warehouse Distribution buisness for over 70 years is looking for an off shift Material Handler to work in our Latham, NY terminal working 11 AM to finish, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities include: In accordance with company standards for security, safety, and productivity selects products to fill customer orders, stocks shelves and maintains inventory Selects items for shipment from pick lists and ensures that item numbers and amounts of products are shipped correct Marks totes with correct ID numbers Re-stocks the pick lines as needed Ensures that totes are properly marked, secure and places finished orders in proper locations Operates material handling/moving equipment to move product Reviews all products for signs of damage and removes damaged goods Maintains work area in clean and orderly condition; cleans shelves to make ready for new stock Removes and stacks pallets in proper locations Sweeps up spilled product Ensure that all items are packed in a safe and secure manner Operates computer terminal to enter and retrieve product information Follows all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by Pine State and department Performs other related duties as assigned Requirements: Duties require ability to read, write, and communicate routine information as well as the ability to work reliably from written directions and instructions Ability to be punctual and work harmoniously with other company employees Ability to operate pallet jacks, glue gun and other related material handling equipment, if assigned, Fork lift experience is helpful.
Must have a positive attitude and be able to work in a fast paced environment.
