Join our team as a Manager of Inventory Control/Landed Goods!!SUMMARY: Manages inventory levels, accuracy and controls at shoreside warehouses.

Manages the returns (landed goods) process from RCCL vessels globally from pointof landing to final disposition.

Position is responsible for all commodities used onboard (Marine, Hotel, and Food/Beverage).

Works with Purchasing and Shipboard Operations departments to set safety stock levels, monitor inventoryturnover rates, and make adjustments to improve asset productivity.

Manages order fulfillment function for all stock orders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Establishes policies and procedures for inventory control (cyclecounts, physical inventories, order picking, etc.) and returns (landed goods) processing.

Leads regular meetings with Purchasing and Operations to review inventory levels, turnover rates, potential stockouts, obsolete stock, and future plans.

Takes initiative to devise strategies that improve inventory turnover, inventory accuracy and space utilization rates.

Coordinates the issuance of credits for Landed Goods with Purchasing and Accounting departments.

Evaluates stocking requirements against available warehouse capacity.

Projects storage requirements to support sourcing and distribution plans.

Creates statistical reports illustrating performance against key metrics such as inventory accuracy, order fill rate, and inventory turnover.

Develops and implements program activities, coordinates efforts of third parties, operations departments, and resolves problems in area of inventory management to ensure fulfillment of customer demands while minimizing inventory related expenses.

Responsible for maintaining

98. 5% inventory accuracy level.

Provides input into Materials Requirement Plans and Forecasting process.

Establishes appropriate procedures with third parties to manage inventory.

Establishes performance criteria, service expectations, and benchmarks relating to material control and landed goods operations.

Measures actual performance against goals on regular basis and presents results to senior management.

Directly supervises 6 employees (3 exempt and 3 non-exempt) in Miami.

Indirectly supervises third party warehouse operations as it relates to Material Control and Landed Goods processing.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelors degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university is required.

Five to eight years related experience in Materials, Inventory or Logistics Management.

Experience managing over $10 million in inventory value with a proven track record of success in a corporate environment.

Familiar with the development, use, and implementation of computerized, warehouse management systems utilizing barcoding technology and wireless, RF communications.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must be proficient in PC software programs (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access) for analysis, simulation or information systems and documentation.

Familiarity with JD Edwards and AMOS systems is preferred.

Domestic and international travel 5-10% of the time.
