Manager, Human Resources: Crowley Maritime Corporation
Manager, Human Resources (Recruitment, Employee relations and Employee Development) JOB SUMMARYResponsible for day-to-day administration of HR policies, programs and processes covering several or all of the following: recruitment, training, affirmative action plans, compensation, benefits, relocation and employee relations.
Provides HR support to employees and managers in various locations within multiple business units and departments.
Ensures adherence to Federal and State employment laws and company policy.
EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in business or related field required.
Post graduate work or human resource certification a plus.
REQUIREMENTSAt least 5 years experience in HR with an emphasis on recruitment, employee relations and employee development.
Experience in providing consultative services to various levels within the organization.
Requires knowledge of Federal and State employment laws.
Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills as well as effective verbal and written communication abilities.
Computer skills that include intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
People Soft experience a plus.
Previous experience working with a HRIS.
Must possess skill sets and demonstrate proven experience developing, improving and streamlining processes to meet established goals and objectives.
Requires the ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope.
