Director, QA/QC Support-The TUNNEL
<TABLE cellPadding=13 width=600 border=0 Director, QA/QC-The TUNNEL Principle Accountabilities
1. Serves as project director and conducts audits, surveillance and monitoring to ensures that THE Tunnel Project consultants and contractors are in compliance with the ISO 9000:2000 and FTA QA/QC guidelines.
2. Develops, implements and maintains QA/QC processes for NJ TRANSIT's Project Management Team in accordance with ISO 9000:2000 standards.
3. Reviews the QA/QC programs of consultants and contractors.
Identifies and evaluates quality problems and work deficiencies and initiates, recommends or provides solutions.
Reviews design and construction plans, specifications, procedures and contracts for completeness and quality requirements.
4. Obtains FTA approval of QA/QC processes and submits for approval to QA/QC audits.
5. Develops QA/QC procedures for THE Tunnel procurement contracts.
Determines if developed procedures for performance of off-site inspection and tests of procurement meet QA/QC standards.
Determines if developed procedures for performance of in-process inspections and tests of construction contracts meet QA/QC standards.
6. Manages QA/QC elements of inspection contracts for THE Tunnel Project.
7. Reviews inspection reports and resolves quality issues with the inspection contractor as result of inspection non-conformance.
8. Evaluates and analyzes material or equipment problems.
Reviews and analyzes any available inspection, test, or other data.
Recommends, performs or coordinates additional tests, if required.
9. In conjunction with QA/QC process, administers safety program ensuring that all personnel are properly trained and equipped to perform their jobs.
10. Develops training for the development and implementation of QA/QC programs to consultant, contractors and in-house personnel.
RESUMES MUST HAVE A SALARY REQUIREMENT/RANGE TO BE CONSIDERED Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related area and nine (9) years of progressive managerial applied experience in design and construction engineering management, to include five (5) years of managerial experience in a quality assurance/quality control environment.
Knowledge of ISO certification process and FTA QA/QC Guidelines required.
Experience involving railroad system and tunnel construction projects desired.
Professional Engineer/Registered Architect license desired.
