JOB DESCRIPTION: Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.
Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and functional steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
Supports Business Users of application systems through trouble-shooting problems, on-line help and training.
Works with Business Owners to develop priorities, define requirements, recommend solutions, construct application solutions and report status for application system changes.
Interfaces with business users and other IT groups as liaison for communicating user requirements and resolving application problems.
Has significant experience with off-the-shelf packaged software and working with software vendors.
Acts as a liaison between key business users/super users and software vendors.
Coordinates software problem resolution between vendors, the Enterprise Support Center (ESC) and business users.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in business or information systems or equivalent experience.
3 - 5 years of business analysis experience.
Strong analytical skills, familiarity with relational database concepts, client-server, mainframe and web concepts.
Experience with packaged software applications containing complex business functionality.
Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work closely with business customers to define requirements and develop solutions to meet those needs.
Emphasis on experience and knowledge of business processes in Petroleum Sales and Distribution highly preferred.
Strong analytical skills, experience and background in DM2 software applications and modules a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.
Extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time.
Ability to work long hours and travel as required.
Must comply with all work rules, including those that pertain to safety and health.
