We currently have an excellent opportunity in our Silicon Valley office for a Temporary Support Specialist.
The Temporary Support Specialist will report to the Information Services Manager and will be part of a team responsible for managing and maintaining the hardware for the Silicon Valley office PC and printer environment, issues related to desktop and network operating systems and software installations.
Responsibilities include maintain firm standard setup for PCs and printers; install, set up, and provide support and troubleshooting assistance to firm personnel regarding PC hardware, operating system, software installation, and printer issues; troubleshoot and maintain PCs and related hardware; troubleshoot configuration for desktop operating system; handle equipment relocation as necessary; manage and support remote access hardware, such as PDAs and RSA tokens; act as resource to Service Desk by providing second-level support for end-user questions and problems; and other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate must possess three (3) or more years of recent experience, preferably in a law firm environment, providing excellent customer service to end-users.
Networking and telecom experience helpful.
The successful candidate must also posses advanced level knowledge and experience with Windows XP and the Office XP suite, PC hardware, printers, cell phones, PDAs, and peripheral devices.
Ability to support oneself in both stationary and mobile positions for extended periods of time, and lift, move and install equipment commonly associated with the duties of this position, as outlined above, including equipment up to 50 lb.
