Senior Systems & Network Engineer
Systems Engineer,UNIX,Software Engineer,Web Services,Security Selected candidate will be a senior member of the Managed Network Services Operations infrastructure, tools, and systems support team.
Candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, development, and administration of the various network and performance management applications and toolsets used by operations centers and external customers enterprise wide.
Responsibilities will include: solutions and application development, system monitoring and analysis, as well as technical project management.
The selected candidate will serve as a subject matter expert on multiple network management systems, applications, and product-sets, in addition to functioning as an executive escalation point of contact for complex customer issues.
Normally, the candidate will receive only general instructions on new or more complex assignments.
The candidate must be able to make and act upon decisions independently; provide technical guidance to lower level staff; have the ability to lead project team(s).
Job Requirements/Required Skills Bachelors degree or equivalent; 10 + years progressive, technical experience; strong software engineering, programming, and systems background is required; excellent written and verbal presentation skills are a necessity; candidate must be a team player, yet able to work independently and use own initiative and judgment to handle non-routine matters and ambiguous issues; strong knowledge of the following is required: Perl, Php, MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle, Solaris, Linux, Windows, Korn, bourne scripts, Web services using SOAP, Apache, SSL/SSH, Cisco IOS, Crytography, System and Service Key Management, Database Architecture, ASP, UNIX Administration (Emphasis on Solaris, shell scripting.
Security minded with CISSP or equivalent desired.
