RF Engineer
Join select team of Engineers in developing Crossbow's market-leading wireless products.
Description: Work with a team of select engineers in the design, development, test, debug and certification of market-leading wireless products.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the development of board-level hardware design, development, test and certification.
Perform all phases of hardware design and development; design, schematic capture, PCB design, BOM creation, test and debug.
Develop automated RF testing for manufacturing as well as FCC and other regulatory RF certifications.
REQUIRED BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A proven track record designing, building and testing board-level RF hardware including RF Transceiver Chips, matching networks, and RF front ends (LNAs, PAs, Baluns, and filters).
Experience designing and implementing custom antennas in the unlicensed (ISM) frequency spectra.
Demonstrated knowledge of transmission line and antenna design theory.
Low power design experience for battery life applications.
Experience using Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers and Signal Generators.
Experience with automated RF Testing.
Experience with FCC certification.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
Experience with automated for manufacturing.
Experience writing embedded firmware for radio control and I/O.
Minimum 5 years RF Engineering experience.
BSEE required, MSEE preferred Crossbow Technology, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
