QA Team Lead - 02310

We are a developer and provider of high-performance broadband customer-premises networking equipment and carrier-class software for the remote management of broadband services and equipment.
We also develop and provide broadband-enabled services and remote-management software for enterprises' technical support, help desks, and personal computers.
This job is located in Emeryville, CA or Fremont, CA. Responsibilities: Work with a team to ensure the quality of the Netopia Broadband Server (NBBS) platform.
NBBS is a web-based, scalable, remote device management application.
It serves as an Auto Configuration Server (ACS) in support of the DSL Forum TR-069 network management protocol.
NBBS is a technically diverse platform, meeting the cutting edge of network device management.
You will work with the QA Manager to lead the testing, automation and process improvement for this platform.
Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for functional verification of server and client features.
Write test cases, test plans and mentor junior-level staff.
Build automated tests and tools, using home grown, open source and commercial products.
Provide project leadership for test planning, execution and tracking.
Contribute to process improvement of both the testing effort, and the associated product development life cycle.
Interface with customers to support software acceptance.
Review and provide feedback to the functional specs and other technical documentation.
Have overall responsibility for test execution and status update.
Requirements: At least five years of experience in software quality assurance.
BS in CS/EE or equivalent experience.
Must have experience with basic programming in Java and XML (test frameworks, like JUnit, a plus).
Must have experience as team lead or equivalent leadership role on a software testing team.
Must have working knowledge of network concepts and protocols.
Must have working knowledge of relational databases (Oracle and Postgres a plus).
Must have working knowledge of QA process and software development life-cycle with focus on iterative and adaptive methodologies.
Must have experience in testing large scale java based Servers on Linux/Unix environment.
Experience with testing networking applications big plus.
Enterprise level System Administrator experience preferred.
Experience with broadband access technologies: ADSL, VDSL, Wi-Fi, FTTx and DSL Forum TR-069 management standards is a huge plus.
Experience with next generation broadband services and applications such as VoIP, in-premise networking, IMS/SIP, IPTV services, hot spot services, etc preferred.
Bi-lingual (Chinese/Mandarin) preferred.
