Provisioning Engineer - Newly Created Position This is an outstanding opportunity for a Provisioning Engineer to join our team at the company's headquarters in Dallas, TX. T his newly created position will directly report to the Vice President of Network Planning.
Primary Job Functions: Work with Network Planning to develop network growth plans.
Design end to end circuits for all new markets.
Coordinate pre-installation planning process with RBOCs and ILECs, including completion of forecasts and obtaining all codes required for turn-up.
Manage the ordering process for new local interconnection trunks with RBOCs, ILECs, coordinating the process with transport and collocation providers.
Manage the ordering process for augments to existing network facilities.
Develop process for automating ASRs, LSRs, LOAs, FOCs, DLRs.
Develop process for updating Network Inventory with all facility and circuit data.
Interface with Facilities Provisioning Manager on all orders, due dates, and network facilities database.
Interface with Network Engineer on all facilities turn up, test and acceptance.
Interface with Switch and Facilities Engineers on all equipment requirements.
Develop and maintain database of equipment, trend capacities and growth, and determine augment requirements Special Projects as assigned by manager Qualifications : Professional degree (ie Bachelor's degree in Engineering) preferred from an accredited college or university Industry Specific Training and Education) Demonstrated management skills Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in an RBOC, ILEC or CLEC environment Microsoft Office proficiency Ability to adapt quickly to new equipment platforms Excellent verbal and written communication skills We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.
