Executive Assistant-33871: Cox Communications, Inc.
JOB DESCRIPTION Provides comprehensive and confidential administrative service to the Senior Vice-President/General Manager and executive staff.
Work involves planning, organizing, directing and coordinating the activities within the office of the Sr.VP/GM, and providing highly complex staff assistance.
Candidate will work under minimal supervision, with considerable some latitude for independent judgment.
Tasks and accountabilities include: ¿ Acts as liaison between the Sr.VP/GM and staff, departments, boards, governmental agencies, and the public.
¿ Coordinates and maintain calendar on meetings, conferences, speaking engagements, and appointments for the Sr. VP/GM¿ Maximizes office productivity through proficient use of appropriate software applications and standardized office management functions.
¿ Maintains a high standard of service delivery necessary for the efficient and professional operation of the office of the Sr.VP/GM.¿ Maintains office records and highly confidential personnel files.
¿ Assists in the preparation of highly confidential and proprietary strategic plans.
¿ Understands and interprets policy applications and acts under limited supervision in application of policies and procedures.
May conduct periodic investigations and fact collection of customer service related issues brought to the attention of the Sr.VP/GM. ¿ Create Power Point presentations as neededs¿ Creates written correspondence on behalf of the Sr.VP/GM.¿ Plans and prepares travel arrangements.
¿ Maintains the highest level of confidentiality.
¿ Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience: ¿ The candidate must have a high level of professionalism and the ability to deal with senior level executives, employees, vendors, and customers at all levels¿ Must be able to produce high quality work with little or no direction¿ Consistently and proactively demonstrated initiative and good judgment in day-to-day operations¿ Excellent organization/time management skills ¿ Must be able to anticipate future deadlines and have a good follow-up system ¿ Worked independently and with staff to plan and execute special projects and events as required¿ Must be able to build and maintain positive working relationships with senior level staff, co-workers, and the public using principles of good customer service.
¿ Proficient with computer skills, e-mails, calendar organization, Powerpoint presentations, Excel, and the internet¿ Demonstrated successful administrative experience in highly independent environments for at least 10-15 years.
QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications: ¿ Associates degree or equivalent work experience¿ Minimum of 10 years Administrative Assistant with at least 5 years of Executive Assistant experience required¿ Ability to navigate the daily demands of an extremely busy corporate executive¿ Flexibility with work hours as demands of work schedule dictate¿ Extremely detail oriented and thrives in a detailed environment¿ Proficient in Microsoft Outlook/Office¿ Excellent verbal and written communications¿ Exhibit charisma and a positive ¿can-do¿ attitudeCox Communications, Inc. and its subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity Employers.
