Windows Technical Specialist: IDB Bank

We are an Equal Opportunity Employer EOE/M/F/V/D Job Summary This Windows Technical Specialist position reports to IDBs VP of Infrastructure in our New York City location.
The scope of work covers 2nd & 3rd level support of IDBs Windows and Linux platforms including shared services applications.
The selected candidate will have a well balanced understanding and hands on experience in the use, maintenance and support of departmental and enterprise banking applications and services supporting the Banks infrastructure.
The data center technologies hosted at the bank are Microsoft Exchange Server, Citrix Server, Citrix Virtualization, Citrix Gateway Services, Blackberry Enterprise Server, Check Point Firewalls, Cisco Routers and Switches & VOIP as well as interfaces with third party vendors and service providers AT&T, Verizon and Sprint.
Candidate will be selected based on level of experience and breadth of knowledge across the sample applications and systems mentioned above.
Job Responsibilities - Work off hours at times and between shift to accomplish patching and compliance initiatives and reporting on compliance and percentage of completion during patch cycles.
These reports will be delivered to Information Security and Internal Audit - Build relationships with internal application & data owners and main stakeholders of the platforms.
Communicate change events and time lines to IDB stakeholders.
- Create comprehensive documentation for new deployments and changes to existing systems - Support and maintenance of IDBs Windows patching and configuration across the server universe - Optimize configurations, deployments, customizations including logon scripts.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning & testing.
- On-call rotation schedule for after-hours support.
- Closely adhere to IDBs Change Management and Security policies and procedures.
- Adhere to IT General Controls, SOX 404 and COBIT standard practices - Participate in SOX 404 quarterly testing and recertifications of IT systems Minimum requirements *Minimum 4-6 years experience in working in a complex/enterprise Windows environment *Windows 2000/2003 Servers, service packs, upgrade experience a plus *Solid hardware troubleshooting skills *System security and compliance administration a plus *Virtualization (Citrix Xen) skills a plus *BS in Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
Microsoft certification is a plus.
