Test Engineer
Oracle, SAN, DB2, SQL, Solaris/Windows, Perl/VB Script Duties: Product verification of defined efforts with an expertise in databases.
The expectations of this person will be to configure test environments including database installations, execute test cases, verification of results, and documentation of tests results and reporting of status, troubleshooting issues.
Skills: The ideal candidate would have skills including: X Knowledge of Windows and Solaris operating systems X High level system debugging and troubleshooting skills X Understands databases and id proficient in at least one as a user X Is profecient with disk array configuration and disk subsystem behavior X Automated Test Execution X Knowledge of backup applications and how they work with databases and storage units Desired Skills: X Device configuration knowledge in SAN environments X Knowledge in Oracle, DB2, SQL, Exchange, Lotus Notes, SAP, and SharePoint databases X Scripting languages of Perl and Visual Basic Script Education: 4 year BS in computer science or related field with 2 years test experience
