Technical Sales -
s a Technical Sales Representative you will be responsible for new business development in the Houston market by identifying and generating new business through sales activities such as prospecting in person, networking, and relationship building with executive level contacts.
You will work with small business execs and owners (10 – 150 employee organizations)
General requirements :
Currently employed technical no gaps in employment - 2-4 years NO job hopping history of success Hunter worked with SMB (10-250 emp.)
Technical requirements :
CANDIDATE MUST HAVE TECHNICAL OR SOFTWARE SALES EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND.
Successful candidate will have functional knowledge of small business IT: • Systems support, administration and maintenance outsourcing (desktop, server and network).
• IT infrastructure and systems: • Files Servers (Windows file servers, Exchange servers) • Network Equipment (firewalls, routers, LAN, WAN & VPN) connectivity.
• Anti-virus and anti-spam • Data Back-Up Client will provide marketing, sales engineer, and administrative support.
Requirements: Ideal candidate will have: • Working technical knowledge of SMB (small mid-sized) corporate IT systems, networks, routers, servers.
• Successful track record closing new business services accounts 10 -150 employee organizations.
• IT services or software sales experience • A network of potential referral/channel partners who can reach small and mid-sized companies.
• Track record of accountability and building a network of referrals.
• Professional attitude and demeanor.
Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required.
• 2+ years IT services or software sales experience.
• A proven (documented) outside sales track record of exceeding quotas and revenue goals.
• Demonstrate proficiency with PC-based applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and sales performance/tracking programs.
• Possess a strong sense of urgency.
• Set aggressive personal and financial goals.
• Exhibit strong negotiating and closing techniques.
• Well-versed in industry terminology.
• Knowledge of current and emerging IT trends.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Compensation: Successful candidate will receive $125k OTE, as well as medical, dental and vision benefits and 401k.
