Sr. Java And/or C++ Developers
www.roytalman.com Job # 5210HJ Position: Sr. Java and/or C++ Developers Location: Chicago Salary Range: Very Competitive Company Description: Our client, who is located in the financial district in Chicago, trades electronically in financial markets around the world, 24 hours/day.
Requirements: Excellent C++ and/or core Java skills.
Experience in networking, concurrency and threading.
Strong knowledge of OO concepts including: inheritance, templates, and encapsulation.
Candidates should be familiar with advanced uses of these techniques.
Demonstrated experience building complex, multithreaded production systems.
Candidates with experience building such systems from scratch will be preferred over those with more API based experience (MFC, Boost C++, etc).
Experience writing software systems using TCP/IP and multicast UDP. Experience working with high-availability, mission critical systems is preferred.
Duties: We are looking for smart developers who know how to write sophisticated applications for automated trading.
This group develops high-performance, multi-threaded applications for communicating with financial exchanges.
The key skill for successful candidates in this position is strong core programming skills, with an emphasis on network and multi-threaded applications.
