Overview: FedEx business analyst has the ability to positively impact the business and fulfill the Purple Promise commitment to our end users.
This position is required to focus on: Leadership - requires extensive networking with peers and business partners from other departments, divisions and external suppliers.
Knowledge of multiple functional areas and multiple divisions/functions supported within OpCo(s), including knowledge of IT and Business Partner strategies.
Communication - deliver effective presentations to executive level business partners and IT. Capable of providing the data and information necessary to executive level business partners and IT executives to communicate direction for major corporate initiatives and to reinforce critical IT positions.
Identifies and appropriately escalates program level risks and potential resolution strategies within OpCo(s) divisions.
Accountable for program and projects that will impact the success of the division.
Engages in peer reviews; often answers to management at all levels.
Position Information: The candidate must have experience in: - the development and communication of user requirements.
- the development and communication of IT software requirements specifications.
- the development of business and IT system test plans.
- System test conduct and analysis.
- Customer/user relationships.
- Presentation and meeting coordinator.
Experience in the following areas is also preferred: - full life cycle software development - adherence to formal software development processes.
- project management Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, preferable in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.
Typically has more than 5 years work experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or Business environment.
