Senior System Administrator JOB DESCRIPTION: A Senior System Administrator will provide direction and expertise to the IS organization regarding architecture, design and support of server and storage technologies to ensure quality of service for Base Camp, Distribution Centers and Stores.
RESPONSIBILITES: Works closely with the Infrastructure Director for all server related projects and provides critical thinking with a holistic approach to server and storage administration and its impact on the entire infrastructure.
Proactively monitors server performance and recommends upgrades and tuning to support the growth of Gander Mountain's computing needs.
Collaborates with the Infrastructure Director and business partners to introduce, maintain and upgrade all servers and storage devices.
Works closely with the Infrastructure Director to architect and design storage solutions including direct attached, NAS and SAN attached solutions.
Provides direction for the Infrastructure team when selecting backup applications and hardware.
QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years of experience in UNIX server administration along with 3+ years experience in IBM AIX System Administration(AI
