Project Manager - Finance
Scoping and implementing custom accounting software.
Permanent position in NW Minneapolis area.
This experienced full-time Project Manager will be reporting to the Manager of Project Management.
This position requires the ability to handle multiple demands while keeping a positive, results-focused attitude toward clients, vendors, and other team members.
Must be able to effectively collaborate with customers and business partners and conceptualize innovative and working solutions.
A familiarity with project management tools, techniques, and procedures is a plus.
Key responsibilities
1. Actively promote and ensure all new products and product enhancements support ISO objectives, particularly continuous quality improvement.
2. Research, analyze, document, and help develop new products and features as appropriate.
3. Assist in development of department processes, include reporting mechanisms to provide feedback to requestor, tracking methods, and product delivery.
4. Work with project team to ensure common understanding of development requests, timeframes, and requirements.
5. Assist in creating a product development environment that is controlled, efficient, cost-effective, and pragmatic.
6. Assist in development of system for calculating Return on Investment for product enhancements and new products; ensure ROI justification is included in all development activities.
7. Keep confidential all applicant, client, and proprietary information.
8. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements: " Experience with scoping and implementing custom accounting software.
Initial project will involve development of a highly flexible customer billing system.
" Experience with implementing two or more technology projects or work process cycles from inception to completion " Experience with projects in multiple technologies/functions " Demonstrated leadership in multi-discipline, high-performance work teams or groups " Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to multi-task " Expert knowledge of project management methodology, best practices, tools, processes " Strong written and verbal skills " Ability to articulate technical information to a variety of audiences " Strong influence and negotiation skills " Strong research and analysis skills " Mathematically competent " Technically competent at desktop level; ability to use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Project, Visio " Ability to organize material, prepare concise analysis, present verbally and in writing.
