Programmer/Analyst - Business Intelligence Programmer/Analyst - Business Intelligence Our client, a well-established company in the northern suburbs, is adding a programmer/analyst to their Business Intelligence group due to growth.
BASIC FUNCTION Analyze, develop, and maintain new and existing business intelligence applications.
Evaluate, implement, and support application servers for business intelligence environments.
Support existing Client/Server and Internet applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop, test, and implement business intelligence solutions utilizing applicable development tools and technologies for relevant environments including network, standalone, and web-based systems.
Work closely with business units to gather requirements, document business processes, and deliver business intelligence solutions.
Create and automate data extraction, transformation, and loading into data warehousing and reporting systems.
Maintain strong working knowledge of pertinent application and database servers.
Assist in the ongoing maintenance and upgrades of related business intelligence solutions.
Maintain understanding of new information technology issues relating to existing responsibilities and research new applications in support of business intelligence initiative.
Document procedures, such as programs and system flow.
Contribute in defining and creating standards for the development process.
REQUIREMENTS - Minimum 3 years Client/Server or web application development.
- Strong Technical knowledge of ETL, Data Warehouse, Meta Data, Databases, and analytics in a SQL Server or Oracle environment.
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to work independently/minimal supervision and in a team environment.
-Ability to communicate underlying business processes to business and technical people.
