Desk Side Support Representative: Belo Corp.
THE OPPORTUNITY : The Desk Side IT Support Representative will provide customer service to internal customers.
This position reports to the Director of IT Support.
This person is responsible for opening, investigating and resolving computer and network related incidents for problems reported to the help desk.
We are seeking a self-motivated, goal-oriented person with high integrity and a desire to make an impact.
This opportunity includes and is not limited to the following: - apply customer service principals when answering the phone and managing inquires to provide professional end user support - assign and escalate call tickets while using the appropriate resources within the organization - serve as a member of the Help Desk team by responding to inquires by identifying, isolating and resolving problems - serve as a computer operator by completing checklists, monitoring systems, and ensuring that computer equipment is operational - Coordinate assigned projects, maintain deadlines and report status to supervisor.
Candidate must have: - strong analytical and troubleshooting skills - excellent customer service, problem-solving, and communications skills - an excellent work ethic and ability to work in a team environment - ability to organize and prioritize tasks - strong knowledge of MS Windows systems and basic system administration - the ability to work effectively in a team environment - the ability to learn about new issues quickly.
- Familiarity with networking and Windows environments preferred, previous helpdesk experience required.
