Secure Computing is currently looking for an entry level Competitive Analyst.

In this position, you will have responsibility for these three distinct areas: Technical competitive analysis - The day-to-day activities will include, but not be limited to: Installation and configuration of Windows Servers, Linux Servers, and a variety of other software applications.

Maintain a robust lab of competitor products included in these duties will be product licensing, software updates and upgrades.

Ability to perform testing on a variety of protocols at the application layer such as: HTTP, SMTP and other messaging protocols.

Perform detailed technical analysis against prioritized competitive products, and thoroughly summarize the results using a combination of word documents, spreadsheets and power point presentations where applicable; Answer Sales Advocacy questions from the field about competitive products and how our technology maps to the opportunity Product Marketing assistance - In this capacity you will: Assist on producing reports outlining the differences (good or bad) between our offerings and our competitors; Assist on producing reports outlining technical weaknesses that our product marketing teams can exploit in our competitors' offerings; Requirements are: Must have strong written and verbal skills BA/BS required, Computer Science / Engineering degree and/or work experience a strong plus.

Security technology experience from either a software development life cycle and/or deployment standpoint.

A minimum of 1+ years of some combination is a strong plus.

This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites on a worldwide basis (up to 10%).

The position will be located in St. Paul, MN. Industry or independent body association and/or certifications important, but not required (CISSP, CISO, CISA, MCSE, CCNA, CCNE, etc).

Candidate with no certifications must be willing to commit to certification achievement on routine basis.
