Cognos Business Intelligence Developer

Job Description The Business Intelligence & Corporate Performance Management Practice at The Revere Group is seeking full time Cognos BI developers.
Primary Responsibilities Expected to assist in sessions with subject matter experts in an effort to formulate application design requirements.
Developing a high level design which supports a robust technology solution, taking into account the user requirements, technical requirements, etc. Driving technology architecture and infrastructure design activities Leading and supervising technology build, test and deployment activities Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and supporting application development.
Candidate will be expected be involved in the full lifecycle of BI/CPM implementations, taking on roles beyond that of a developer when necessary.
Must be comfortable being involved in business analysis and testing tasks in addition to architecture and development.
Contribute to the development and growth of The Revere Group's BI/CPM practice by contributing thought leadership, speaking/publishing, mentoring junior consultants, and providing assistance to our sales and marketing teams.
Job Qualifications Minimum 2 years experience with the Cognos BI suite of products; ReportNet experience mandatory.
Must possess a strong desire to work hands on developing data warehousing, reporting and performance management solutions across a range of industries and functional disciplines.
We require formal training/ certification or project-based experience with more than one of the following products: Powerplay, ReportNet, Metrics Manager, Decision Stream.
Cognos 8 experience a plus.
Demonstrated problem solving and quantitative skills, combined with excellent written and verbal communications necessary.
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
Understanding of budgeting, planning and forecasting concepts beneficial and experience integrating with Cognos Enterprise Planning a plus.
