Position Overview: This position is located in the Chrysler Corporate Payroll offices in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

There are two main purposes for this role: Senior Accounting Analyst and Chrysler Payroll Services Coordinator.

• As the Sr. Accounting Analyst, this position will oversee the payroll general ledger reporting for the Payroll function.

Incumbent will ensure data integrity of the payroll general ledger interfaces and provide operational guidance to Jamaica payroll operations.

• As the Chrysler Payroll Services Coordinator: individual will serve as the liaison between the Chrysler retained staff and Jamaica Payroll operations for annual (planned) or one-time Payroll events.

A Payroll event can be a scheduled bonus payment like Profit Sharing or a special payroll to resolve a Payroll Incident.

Major duties of the Sr. Accounting Analysts / Chrysler Payroll Services Coordinator include: As the Sr. Accounting Analyst: • Oversee the Payroll Accounting functions for Chrysler Payroll Services: • Ensuring data integrity of the automated mechanical payroll general ledger interfaces for the Legacy and PeopleSoft Payroll systems by working with the Tempe and Jamaica Payroll offices.

• Ensuring timely Payroll general ledger account reconciliations completed in Tempe and Jamaica in accordance with the defined Chrysler schedules and required standards (SLA) • Ensuring that required general ledger adjusting entries have obtained required Sr. Mgr. Approval.

• Providing guidance to Tempe and Jamaica payroll operations for general ledger reporting, when exceptions arise.

• Participate with Change Management team to design, develop, test and implement any accounting updates or changes to the Legacy and PeopleSoft systems.

As the Chrysler Payroll Services Coordinator: • Serve the liaison role between Chrysler retained staff and Tempe / Jamaica Payroll operations.

• Work with retained staff to keep abreast of contractual, legal and regulatory changes impacting payroll.

Participate with retained staff to develop the work plans in accordance with union contract or Chrysler employee plans.

• Develop functional understanding of all Payroll systems including CATS and STRS timekeeping modules supporting time reporting functions for the hourly and salaried workforces respectively.

• Participate in the scheduling and executing of the annual (planned) or one-time Payroll events.

Also includes any necessary testing to validate new system functionality.

• Monitor and track performance against the Master Plan for each Payroll PDCA items.

Work with Payroll Quality Assurance Team, Supervisors, Team Leads and client experts to resolve any discrepancies or open issues.

• Assist with year-end processing including issuance of W2s for US employees of T4s for Canadian employees.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with retained staff; facilitate necessary work group meetings.

• Monitor Daily activities of Legacy Payrolls on Pay run days to ensure accurate and on time payrolls.

• Complete on-site required activities in conjunction with retained staff including, but not limited to, auditing/mailing of on-line checks, subpoena mailings, bank deposits, special requests, etc. • Co-partner with retained staff in crisis management situations, whereby extra-ordinary efforts required to avoid payroll issues or in response to a payroll incident and required corrective actions • Assist Quality Assurance team in training • Assist Quality Assurance team to implement Tax changes in Legacy, PeopleSoft and Dashboard systems.

• Must be able to travel to Arizona and Jamaica when required • Other projects as directed by management.

Work Experience • 2 -3 years of previous payroll accounting experience required • 2-3 years of supervisory or project management experience required • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to multi-task and meet critical payroll deadlines • Excellent analytical abilities, problem solving skills and demonstrated attention to detail • Strong customer service skills • Position requires someone who is self-motivated and can work independently, but can also be an integral part of a cooperative-team effort.
