Sales Associate: Wake Forst University
Position Summary: Under general supervision, provides customer assistance throughout the store.
Performs cashier duties, stocks shelves with merchandise; ensures the stores are clean, professional and presentable at all times.
Will be required to work 3 out of 4 weekends out of the month from August to May (including Sundays).
Qualifications: High School diploma plus one year retail experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Ability Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Skills with cash registers and/or POS systems.
Ability to work some weekends and night hours.
Physical Requirements Light work: exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Fingering, standing and/or sitting, walking, talking and hearing.
Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer terminal.
Subject to both environmental conditions; activities occur inside and outside.
Essential Functions: Provides customer service assistance to customers in the store.
Processes transactions at the cash register for the sale and return of merchandise.
Assists with replenishing stock on shelves and hangers.
Assists with keeping the store in an orderly and professional appearance at all times.
Occasionally processes transactions outdoors at the cash register for the sale of merchandise.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
