Department Manager - Roseville/Rocklin Area

The Department Manager ensures the efficient operation of a department; recommends, orders, determines price of, stocks and displays ad and staple merchandise; supervises departmental employees, trains new departmental employees, provides customer assistance, processes sales, manages inventory control for the department.
Maintains and improves good customer service, general departmental image, and store maintenance and appearance for the safety and health of customers and employees.
Ensures adherence to governmental regulations and laws.
Each store is run autonomously, therefore, the functions may vary from store to store.
At certain times, the Department Manager may be the only member of management in the store.
Responsibilities: Four years of retail/service-related experience performing customer service job functions; experience must include a proven work record, including, but not limited to: problem solving skills, leadership skills strong verbal communication skills, initiative and creativity.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; ability to give directions to others and capable of learning proven, successful supervisory skills; ability to maintain a courteous, businesslike manner when interfacing with customers and other employees; ability to adjust hours to meet store needs as required.
Demonstrated ability to lead an individual or group to accomplish a function or goal.
