Job Description Regional Finance Officer (RFO) The RFO is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and analyzing critical financial and operations data in order to increase revenues and manage costs.

This individual will partner with Regional Vice President of the Regional Operating Center (ROC) to evaluate operating metrics and their potential impact on revenue goals and occupancy levels.

This position oversees a large region including Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Prepares, reviews, and analyzes critical financial and operations data in order to increase revenues and manage costs.

Monitors the capital-spending plan for the ROC including community-to-community comparisons of turnover, lender commitments, capitalized payroll, and capital projects.

Analyzes operating expense trends for the correct level of spending based on industry averages and community needs assessment.

Analyzes spending required for each property to adequately preserve the asset value and provides information to Reviews pricing and fees on a unit/property level utilizing the rent opportunity model and market survey.

Analyzes expiring leases and prepares renewal rent recommendations.

Reviews reports to analyze projections of revenue and expenses against actual figures, budgeted expenses against final totals, and suggests methods of improving the planning process as appropriate.
