Technology Analyst Developer
Job Description: Medsite, a leading marketing firm for the pharmaceutical industry, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual for the position of Application Developer/Analyst.
This is a consultant position.
This position is responsible for analyzing business requirements, defining technical specifications, system design, coding, testing, maintenance, and production support for Medsite's iDetailing product.
This position requires the ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent projects with short timeframes.
The position requires technical expertise utilizing a variety of web application design tools, system architecture, and database / application configuration.
The ideal candidate will combine an intense will to succeed with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities under tight deadlines, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and with sharp attention to detail.
Responsibilities : Hands-on development of projects or code fixes, in addition to interaction with offshore teams.
Carries out full lifecycle integration testing of applications.
Replaces, deletes, or modifies code to correct errors.
Using Transact-SQL for queries and stored procedures for reporting, trouble-shooting and application maintenance.
Monitors, analyzes, reviews, and alters program to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
Provides technical customer service, to analyze system issues or provide feedback to customer services department on customer's transactions.
Identify system and process enhancements, and follow through from analysis to implementation.
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Read manuals, periodicals, and technical reports to learn ways to develop programs that meet requirements.
Evaluates client service requests for new or modified applications to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current system, and computer capabilities.
Converts business requirements into complete technical specifications.
Writes technical documentation, including flowcharts and diagrams to describe program development, logic, coding, implementation and corrections.
Actively participates in application design process including database design.
Consults with user to identify current operating procedures and clarify application objectives.
Evaluates user request for a new or modified application: feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current system, and capabilities.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Complete source code development wherever applicable.
Ability to work periodically in paired programming environments and with remote team members.
Excellent debugging skills with the ability to quickly step through code and solve problems.
Excellent ASP, SQL skills Excellent MS SQL-Server 7/2000 skills Keen attention to detail and pro-activity in changing processes or design to handle changing business needs.
Visual Studio.Net C# - ASP.NET is a plus Knowledge of HTML/XML/SOAP Crystal Reports a plus EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; and 3 - 6 years of industry experience.
