One of the nations largest blood distribution and services organization, my client provides blood and blood products for more than one million transfusions annually, a significant portion of our nation's blood supply.
They serve close to 200 hospitals and 20 million people in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for procedures in the stem cell laboratory in Clinical Services, which performed 250 procedures last year.
Assist in ensuring that the lab meets all regulatory standards including FDA, AABB, FACT, and NY State.
Participate in the receipt, processing, analyses, cryopreservation, and shipment of stem cell products.
REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
Minimum of 3 years Stem Cell Laboratory or Blood Bank or Clinical Hematology Laboratory experience.
ASCP Certified or equivalent.
Knowledge of hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells helpful.
