Novartis Sales Representatives are responsible for calling on practicing physicians, hospitals, managed care and other health-related organizations/personnel within an assigned territory.
He/she must provide the most current information pertaining to our products and their approved indications in a manner, which will ensure the appropriate use of these products and achieve the business potential of the territory.

Job DescriptionResponsible for the operational management of assigned projects including: planning and tracking, problem solving, and logistical support as PTR from Project Management.
In addition, is responsible for both logistical support and project management of one or more non-priority drug projects (eg LCM projects, projects in phase IV, etc.) and/or special organizational projects (eg SUCCEED) or Task Force.
Works in close collaboration with TA Head or Senior Project Leader for assigned projects.
-- Manage the process of cross-functional integration of operational activities of the IPT. -- Provide planning and operational support to the project.
-- Contribute to the creation of the IDPS, TPP and other project information.
-- Maintain the documentation and the plans up-to-date.
-- Ensure tracking of progress together with IPT and identify problems and bottlenecks within projects.
-- Manage inter-functional links using planning tool and act as interface with Resource Management for integrated project budget/resources.
-- Contribute to problem resolution by developing contingency scenarios through the use of planning tool.
-- Provide key data to Portfolio Management to update project status and impact on TA- and overall portfolio (eg timelines, budget, resources, and delays).
-- Represent PJM in sub teams where appropriate.
-- On selected non-priority projects, develop and implement integrated strategic and operational plans together with team (and with support from TA Head or Project Leader.
Minimum requirementsA masters or doctoral in the life sciences, chemistry, business admin (or bachelors degree with experience equivalent to Graduate degree) plus 4+ years industrial experience including a minimum of 3 years in project management.
Previous work in international and multidisciplinary drug development teams.
Detailed knowledge of basic science.
Detailed knowledge of special requirements in a given TA. Expert knowledge of drug development process.
Detailed knowledge of regulatory and business requirements.
Detailed knowledge of international customs and business practice.
Strong planning and tracking skills, able to see big picture, well-organized, focused on results, capable of managing multiple projects, excellent time management with respect to priorities and self management.
Expert problem solving skills developing creative solutions and for maintaining project timelines; ability to resolve conflicts in an objective fashion.
Expert strategic thinking and contingency planning with consideration to the project objectives.
Expert leadership skills demonstrated on IPT or in other organizational assignments to facilitate/optimize contributions of Pars as individuals and members of a cohesive team.
Strong conflict management/negation skills.
Expert interpersonal skills for bridging between scientific and business participants, for negotiating timelines and for effective international collaborations.
Excellent oral/written communication skills, allowing effective interactions with all levels of organization.
Strong, critical and objective interpretation of scientific and commercial information.
Expert team player.
Strong analytical skills for integrating and interpreting interdisciplinary project information.
Pharmaceutical experience required.
Metabolism experience preferred but not essential.
