Project Manager

The Environmental Services division provides a wide range of laboratory and field services related to the monitoring, compliance, investigation and remediation of the environment.

Visit us at http://www.sgs.com Summary of the position: Project Manager: This position requires a technical person who is interested in the challenges of managing environmental projects in the DOD and commercial fields.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years experience in managing environmental projects from an engineering or laboratory perspective.
Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related science from an accredited four year college or university is required.
Production laboratory experience is desired.
Duties and Responsibilities: Perform initial review of client file Monitor the status of projects as they progress toward completion Understand the specifics about client projects Understand environmental regulations and their effect on client requirements Review cost sheets for accuracy Develop relationships with clients Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Science background (chemistry preferred) Familiarity with NPDES, SW-846 and State of Alaska UST regulations Adapt to ever-changing situations Project costing and negotiation Strong computer skills Education: BS in Chemistry or related from an accredited college or university is required.
