Phlebotomist - Roswell Rd. One: Piedmont Healthcare

Complete Description Phlebotomist to support a very busy well-established multi-provider Internal Medicine practice located on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs.

Phlebotomy certificate/diploma from a recognized medical training facility or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or MA diploma with a very strong clinical background and excellent phlebotomy skills and at least 3 years of phlebotomy / lab experience.

Performs phlebotomy procedures in accordance with standard policy and procedure guidelines.

Performs analysis or other evaluation in accordance with PMCC, CLIA and OSHA established standards.

Performs venipuncture and capillary punctures on patients in a timely manner as requested by the medical staff.

Conducts other designated lab testing.

Stocks supplies, sterilizes instruments and prepares equipment in the work area.

Follows universal precautions at all times.

Logs patient specimens and enters test results on forms or in computer.

Collects data, prepares reports, answers correspondence, and compiles statistics as directed.

Must be detailed-oriented for data entry into software system.

Good work ethic, responsible, self-starter, team player with the ability to multi-task.

Computer literacy required.

Familiarity with NextGen and/or EMR a plus.

Must have excellent critical thinking skills.
