Pharmacy Technician (Unit Dose) Evenings: Piedmont Healthcare
Complete Description RESPONSIBLE FOR: Assisting pharmacist with routine duties.
Processing patient medications.
Replenishing medications.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School graduate.
GA technician certification or some college preferred.
Prior Hospital or Retail Pharmacy experience preferred.
Must be able to work with controlled substances.
Must demonstrate a good math aptitude.
Knowledge of hospital pharmacy preferred along with typing and computer skills.
Good telephone skills are needed.
Good written and oral communication skills, and ability to communicate appropriately.
Ability to work effectively with others, possessing tact, discretion, and diplomacy.
Ability to work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff.
Ability to respond quickly to emergency requests.
Must be able to lift boxes, push carts, stand and/or walk the majority of the shift worked.
Must be physically able to operate the equipment used for the job. (Prefer previous hospital pharmacy experience).
Additional Information Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation may be required.
