Novartis Sales Representatives are responsible for calling on practicing physicians, hospitals, managed care and other health-related organizations/personnel within an assigned territory.
He/she must provide the most current information pertaining to our products and their approved indications in a manner, which will ensure the appropriate use of these products and achieve the business potential of the territory.

Job DescriptionThe Oncology Sales Representative/Specialist is responsible for representing and promoting Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation as a leader in the Oncology community and marketplace.
Incumbents will be required to promote a highly technical and innovative product portfolio to a sophisticated audience while being dedicated to meeting and exceeding sales objectives.
The development of relationships and maintaining an active presence with the most productive doctors in the community and associated organizations will be essential elements of the position.
Customers include office-based physicians, consultant pharmacists, medical directors, key medical and nursing personnel, among others.
There will be involvement with assisting in developing and implementing national and area strategies for the product line.
The Sales Rep/Specialist will represent a consistent "CUSTOMER FIRST" approach to business activities and relationships.
Qualified candidates must have a demonstrated record of success as they will serve as a peer leader and resource to the "TEAM" in order to facilitate a coordinated effort within accounts.
A willingness to travel over a broad geography is required.
Candidates must reside within the open territory.
Geography includes White Plains, Westchester County and Orange County.
Best place to live is Westchester or White Plains.
Minimum requirementsBachelor's Degree 5 years of pharmaceutical sales experience At least 2 years of experience in oncology/urology/institutional/specialty sales.
Computer literacy i.
e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint Candidates must be self-motivated, possess a high degree of technical expertise, have exceptional selling skills, be team-oriented and must be familiar with the Oncology community.
