Manager I, Process Eng - 100153 - Maple Grove, MN - 0300Tactical manager of multiple Process Development projects or core technologies.
Devotes a portion of time to managerial, leadership, and staff development responsibilities.
1. Provides guidance and training to staff, assists subordinates in attaining career goals, motivates individuals to achieve results, and recruits and maintains a high quality staff.
2. Prioritizes activities and ensures proper resources to meet Integrated Business Plan (IBP) goals and prevent Technical Review issues.
3. Manages execution of the functional deliverables associated with the PDP/TDP, Project Management, and Quality Systems.
4. Prioritizes and manages execution of multiple department projects.
5. Oversees selection of processes that meet business goals.
6. Works with other engineering managers and cross-functionally to standardize, leverage and implement engineering tools and establish best-demonstrated practices.
7. Serves as a technical resource and provides on-going feedback and coaching to direct reports and PD project team.
8. Establishes department metrics and objectives and monitors progress as appropriate.
9. May serve as a core team member.
Typical minimum education/years experience: BS in Engineering or applicable field; 7 years technical/professional experience; 3+ years people management experience.
