Maintenance Mechanic: CryoLife, Inc.
OBJECTIVE: Maintain building HVAC systems at peak operating efficiency to ensure clean rooms, laboratories and office areas achieve optimal performance.
Plan, coordinate and supervise contractors and vendors to achieve efficient operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Trouble shooting of electrical controls.
Automated control systems management and operation.
HVAC systems analysis, maintenance and repair, including chillers, air handlers and subsystems.
Assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance systems.
Fire alarm and access control system maintenance.
Effective management of vendors and contractors to achieve technical and monetary goals, as well as the ability to show strong analytical skills and critical decision making.
Manage inventory of stock and repair parts.
Analysis, maintenance and repair of equipment mechanical and electrical systems.
REQUIREMENTS: Completion of Associate Degree or technical program in a related field.
State license and experience as a Building Chief Engineer is desirable.
Minimum of 7 years ' experience as a building engineer responsible for the maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC equipment, or ten or more years experience as a chief engineer.
Demonstrable skills in plumbing, electrical, boilers and HVAC systems, as well as general maintenance skills.
Ability to effectively operate and manage computerized building management systems.
Demonstrable ability to manage multiple vendors and contractors, as well as the ability to show strong analytical skills and critical decision making ability.
HOURS: Ability to work between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:30 pm Will be on emergency call 24 hours on a rotating basis.
