Creating/maintaining production schedules from forecast through distribution in just-in-time mfg env Nipro Diagnostics, Inc. currently has an open position for an International Production Planner based in our corporate offices in Fort Lauderdale.

This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining production schedules from forecast through distribution in a just-in-time manufacturing environment.

Will consider sales forecasts, sales orders, trends, material availability and capacity constraints.

Develops, maintains and controls a realistic production schedule by balancing customer requirements with manufacturing capacity and parts availability
Communicates forecast and production schedule changes to Supply Chain team
Analyzes potential impact of forecast and production schedule changes on component procurement and production volume
Ensures consistency between customer demand information and production build schedules
Collaborates with Nipro international business units, customers, operations, and Supply Chain Management to appropriately manage inventory levels and minimize obsolescence
Perform "What if" analyses to aid in optimal scheduling, priorities and decision making
Acts as the key contact for analysis of new orders, change orders, and net change analysis from external sources
Performs material and capacity analysis, works with Master Scheduler to establish a production schedule for customer orders or inventory build, and communicates/resolves issues related to discrepancies between the requested and promised due date
Monitors inventory levels and planned order quantities at both the component and assembly level and generates action plans to ensure that inventory levels are optimized, and dispositions excess inventory to support business objectives
Participates on the Supply Chain team & supports development of planning processes to support department, business unit, and company goals
Conduct day-to-day business analysis supporting Supply Chain Management
Develops, documents, and manages customer specific planning systems such as Kanban, safety stock, knowledge based configuration systems, vendor managed inventory, or other unique systems
Recommends improvements and implements recommendations for improvements to the extended planning process in order to gain efficiencies
Assists other team members as needed to ensure customer needs are met QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.

) from four-year College or university; and 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
