The Facilities Project Engineer is responsible for providing daily oversight associated with our Building Management System, a validated system that requires detailed GMP documentation, and managing multiple capital projects at a pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging facility.

This positions designs, engineers and plans all facilities-related projects, including new and retrofit projects, to support production and plan operating activities.

Additionally, this position is responsible for providing technical advice on equipment purchases, determining the scope of engineering projects, preparing sketches / design drawings, estimating project costing, writing justifications for project approval, selecting / overseeing contractors and coordinating project / construction-related activities.

This position is also responsible for ensuring compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) requirements as well as corporate, industry, regulatory, and computer validation standards.

QualificationsEducation Minimum Requirement: BS in Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field Required Experience and Skills: Minimum of 3 years of experience in design, engineering and construction management Working knowledge of GMPs and plant operating procedures Experience in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) design, facility equipment design including pumps, chillers, piping, boilers and Building Maintenance System (BMS) Ability to work flexible hours / weekends when needed to meet production demands Strong people / communication skills - ability to read, write, speak and understand English Ability to work independently under minimal supervision Desired Experience and Skills: Work experience in a regulated industry, such as the pharmaceutical industry Experience in a production / manufacturing environment Capable of preparing design drawings; utilizing CAD design program on computer Our employees are the key to our company's success.
