Desktop Applications Support Technician

Desktop Applications Support TechnicianThis position is responsible for managing the ongoing review and implementation of BSC's core software applications, security updates and virus protection.
These responsibilities include compatibility testing, developing strategies for implementing version updates, post implementation follow-up, and ongoing application enhancements.
In addition, the position supplies high level expertise to customers on the use of advanced application features and makes recommendations on non-core application purchases.
Minimum · BS degree in Computer science; appropriate technical degree with 1-2 years related experience or 5-10 years related technical experience.
· High level experience and knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite applications and operating systems.
· Experience with Active Directory network.
· Strong project management skills · Strong & innate technical & people skills.
· Flexible and enjoy working as part of a team.
· Ability to lift 50 pounds · Customer service skills and experience · Persistent and resourceful · Familiarity with LAN/WAN network topology Preferred · Experience working in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 help desk environment · MCSE or similar mid-level certification a plus · Experience working with incident tracking systems · Experience with policy and documentation creation Boston Scientific offers incredible opportunities to grow and advance, a dynamic work environment and an excellent benefits package.
