Desktop Administrator (Temp To Perm)
Desktop Administrator Temp 3month to Fulltime Hire Desktop Administrator A New York City based company is seeking a Desktop Administrator in which the primary responsibility is infrastructure support of a Windows 2000 and XP network (200+ nodes).
End User IT support of corporate headquarters facility comprised of executive level management and their support staff.
Areas include infrastructure services and applications, E-mail, Internet access, Desktop computing (primarily Dell, minimal MAC), printing, Remote Access VPN, Blackberry and other PDA devices.
A Minimum 2 years hands on experience is required Duties: - Desktop/ Laptop/Printers HW/SW installation, maintenance and configuration.
- Day to day customer support for standard and non-standard workstation and peripheral configurations.
- Hardware and software trouble-shooting and repair.
- Provide after hours on-call support when requested.
- Minimal Network infrastructure support.
- Daily administrative activities include coordination of hardware and software procurements, Asset tracking, user account management including VPN accounts.
- Reports to Director, Information Technology Requirements: - Hands-on experience with the following technologies: Microsoft Windows 2000XP Microsoft Office including Outlook as a Client - Desktop or Laptop hardware configuration and troubleshooting - Solid understanding of Ethernet networking environment - Solid understanding of the TCP/IP protocol including DHCPActive Directory - Strong logical troubleshooting skills - Demonstrated personal desire and aptitude to learn - Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently - Solid written and oral communication skills, with the desire and ability to work as member of a high performance team
