Job Description PDL BioPharma is a commercial biopharmaceutical company that develops, manufacturers, markets and sells innovative products to address serious unmet medical needs.

We are a leader in the development of humanized antibodies to prevent or treat various disease conditions.

We currently have the following opportunity in our Brooklyn Park, MN location: Associate Director PM 2260-A The Project Manager manages projects involving large complex cross-functional teams focused on the development, manufacture and quality of our development and commercial biopharmaceutical products.

Responsibilities include managing and coordinating development and manufacturing activities, internal and external communications and relationships, and interdepartmental activities to meet product supply and development requirements.

Key functions include managing the project activities, objectives, risks and deliverables within the scope, schedule, resources and budget for the project.

In coordination with the CMC Project Leader, this position manages the CMC Sub-team including facilitating team meetings (agendas, task assignments, and minutes); managing the team to achieve all milestones, provide high quality deliverables, and appropriately balance cost, quality, speed, value and risk; and holding the team members accountable for their agreed team deliverables.

This position will also be relied on to ensure outstanding communication between the CMC Sub-team, management, the functional groups, the Program Team, the Management Committees, and external partners.

Other duties include taking responsibility for all PM process and tools used to manage the project.

This position may also be responsible for supervising project managers supporting cross-functional development or commercial teams.

Required Skills This position requires a BS in the physical or life sciences, or Engineering with 10+ years of applicable experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry, along with 5+ years of project management experience.

Required Experience The successful candidate will have general understanding of the processes involved in development, manufacturing quality and supply chain of pharmaceutical products, coupled with knowledge of project management principles/processes and the ability to manage multiple complex projects.

The proven leader we seek will have strong team building and staff development and motivation skills others.

Good conflict resolution and problem solving skills are also essential, as are excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
