Novartis Sales Representatives are responsible for calling on practicing physicians, hospitals, managed care and other health-related organizations/personnel within an assigned territory.

He/she must provide the most current information pertaining to our products and their approved indications in a manner, which will ensure the appropriate use of these products and achieve the business potential of the territory.

Job DescriptionThis person will be responsible for the development and successful implementation of a variety of marketing initiatives to grow Sandostatin LAR and Zometa in Latin America.

This successful candidate will be a key member of the Latin America marketing team and contribute to the development and execution of the regional strategic business plan, tactical program development & implementation, and ROI assessment.

The candidate will have extensive interactions with our affiliates throughout the Business Units in Latin America including the Global team, key internal support departments, external agencies, key thought leaders and other internal/external customers.

Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to budget management, product forecasting, medical education, international congresses & market research to measure progress towards objectives.

Involves extensive regional travel.

Minimum requirementsBusiness and/or science background is required.

An MBA with a focus in marketing or equivalent experience is desirable.

Thorough knowledge of product management is essential, including experience in Global Marketing and either sales, sales management, advertising or marketing research.

Individual must possess excellent communication skills including strong presentation skills; strong project management expertise, the ability to bridge marketing and science and the ability to manage a heavy workload common to a priority brand.

Oncology, hematology, endocrinology experience preferred.

Must be bi-lingual Spanish and have a working knowledge of the Latin America market.
