Truss Designer
Truss Designer Position Description: Truss Designer We currently have a full-time opening at our Carter Woodcraft Center (CWC) in Pittsboro, IN (just outside of Indianapolis) and our Carter Woodcraft Center in Atlasburg, PA for the position of Truss Designer.
Position Overview: Carter Woodcraft supplies Carter Lumber stores with wall panels, trusses, & engineered wood products.
Truss designers are responsible for designing plans for the construction of wall panels and trusses based on blueprints provided by builders.
Being part of the Carter Lumber team means that you will: Share Carter Lumber's vision core values of the business.
Evaluate and provide feedback to ensure the most efficiency during the design process.
Communicate with production teams and store managers to ensure accurate designs.
Read blueprints to: Produce wall panel design using Wall Builder Program' software Produce truss designs using Mitek' software Requirements to join the Carter Lumber team: Must be knowledgeable in the basic aspects of construction and capable of reading blueprints.
Have previous experience using wall panel design software, preferably Wall Builder program software Preferably have previous experience using truss design software Have a good understanding of construction and field application of the products produced Well-developed problem-solving abilities Must possess good communication skills Benefits Provided: Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Disability Insurance Life Insurance Employer-matching 401(k) Plan CLICK HERE TO APPLY
