Truck Driver / Warehouse: Rhode Island Tile

Job Category: Other

We are a wholesale / retail distributor of ceramic tile and stone products that has been in business for over 56 years, with a warehouse that is located in the central part of Cranston, RI. We are in need of a CDL truck driver as our spare driver who would also work in our warehouse processing orders for our products.

This is a full time position that would be 75% warehouse work, and 25% truck driveing.

The warehouse work would involve the use of a stock picker at heights up to twenty-five feet, and also the use of a fork lift to pack orders.

Our product cartons can weigh up to 60lbs each and would be palletized for pick up at our warehouse, and also for delivery by our trucks.

Experience with the use of these machines is not necessary - we can train and certify you in the safe operation of both types of equipment.

Our warehouse is organized, easy to navigate, and saftey is a very high priority.

Truck driving would consist of a tractor with 28', 35' or 42' trailors as well as an 18' box truck.

All off our trailors have pallet jacks and power lift gates, so hand delivery is kept to a minimum.

Our delivery areas include RI, CT, MA, and southern NH. Truck driving would also occur in the case of vacations, absence of the full time drivers, or any special deliveries.

Here is what is needed to apply: honesty, respect, responsibility, and a willingness to work for fair compensation in a safe work environment for a stable and growing local family business.
