Test Planning Engineer
Test Planning Engineer Job Requisition Number: 800296 Individual will provide technical, analytic, and engineering support to the GMD JPO Flight Test Execution Division (GMT-F).
Individual will be responsible for supporting GMT-F in the area of Flight Test Planning: to include: Integrated Flight Tests, Risk Reduction Flights, Targets Of Opportunity, Concurrent Test and Operations, and Non-Cooperative Target Testing.
Tasks include supporting the Flight Test Managers in defining test scenarios and configurations for long term flight tests, analyzing target and missile dynamics, interfacing with the user and Warfighter community, designing and planning special tests to exercise components, and defining long term test strategies.
Expected products include scenario demonstrations and exercises, technical briefings, and white papers as required.
Individual mus t be able to translate SE&I requirements into executable test events and interface with the Prime Contractor, Warfighter, and test planning lab representatives.
Must Have the Following: Experience with Missile Defense Flight Test planning with ability to formulate future test strategies Active Secret Clearance Strong process development skills Experience in developing and supporting mission planning activities for test events Ability to participate within a team environment and utilize and coordinate the expertise of others Ability to quickly assess and prepare JPO positions relating to Test Integration, Execution, and Planning issues Demonstrated experience developing products using Microsoft products to include Power Point, Word, and Excel required Demonstrated capabilities in use of the internet/intranet Strong verbal, written, interpersonal communications, and customer interface sk ills Requires a highly motivated self starter requiring minimum guidance and able to multitask in high pressure environment Willingness to travel Prefer to Have the Following: Bachelor's degree or higher Submit Resume BAE SYSTEMS offers a full benefit package, plus a very competitive salary.
