Server Administrator E0827 Job Requisition Number: 507655 OPPORTUNITY BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Server Administrator who is ready for a new challenge with an innovative company.
JOB DESCRIPTION Responsible to the clients for adjusting, monitoring, troubleshooting and overall efficient operation of the network server systems to include system software and applications.
Provides technical expertise for all network users and ensures that personal computers and servers are functioning properly.
Performs backups of the database and operating system, monitors system usage, resolves problems, and performs application and/or system upgrades.
Duties include: * Perform server administration for Enterprise Servers.
* Provide software and enterprise troubleshooting.
* Provide Weekly Reports to include status of information syste m readiness, workstations, servers and software.
Applicants selected for some positions will be subjected to a government security investigation and will need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Applicants with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower level salary grade.
Additional duties as required.
Must Have the Following: US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED Requires a Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related degree or equivalent experience and skill set to satisfy requirements (5 years of practical working experience).
Must possess sufficient professional competence to operate independently within a broad scope of authority and with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 Server and Windows XP Knowledge of IT concepts such as TCP/IP, ATM, LAN/WAN networking Knowledge of IT security concepts Candidates considered for this p osition will require an active TS/SCI level clearance Prefer to Have the Following: Knowledge of Bindview bv-Control a plus.
