Product Manager
Product Manager / Carmel, IN Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies If you are interested in this position and meet the minimum requirements, please apply on-line and send your resume to Brett_Benson [at] irco [dot] com [dot] JOB SUMMARY: The Product Manager will play a lead role in the development and execution of New Product Development opportunities and in driving Productivity and Quality improvement initiatives for increased profitability and customer satisfaction.
Projects assigned will generally have 1 million+ dollar impact on Security Systems business.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: Drive dramatic growth through New Product Development Drive operational excellence through product Productivity and Quality initiatives Provide project leadership, interface with all functions; communicate progress and complete projects in a timely manner.
Communicate effectively to co-workers and managers to accomplish objectives OBJECTIVES: Drive New Product Development initiatives to achieve growth goals Drive product Productivity and Quality initiatives to achieve profitability goals and customer satisfaction Gain in depth knowledge of the products, applications, end-users, influencers Support channel marketing and sales in the launch of new products MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge and work experience: 5+ years of category marketing and/or product management experience.
Product management experience with mechanical, electro-mechanical products preferred.
New Product Development experience highly preferred.
Familiarity with multiple channels of distribution and global markets.
Bachelor's Degree required (Business Management, Marketing, Engineering preferred).
Microsoft Office Suite with competency in Excel, PowerPoint.
Project Management skills required.
Solid written and verbal skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: Hours of work required: 40+ Physical/Mental requirements (ie lifting 30 lbs.): Ability to lift 20 lbs. Travel % of time: 30% Personal Protection Equipment: N/A Environment Hazards: N/A Compensation and benefits package is highly competitive and reflects individual/team contribution.
