Injection Molding Process Technician (2nd Or 3rd Shift)

Injection Molding Process Technician (2nd or 3rd shift) Perform a variety of duties to any set-up, diagnose problems, change, adjust, and monitor the operation of various computer controlled and automatic injection molding machines.
Job duties: * Develop robot processes.
Develop, modify, and document "Process Sheet", computer programs, written and/or verbal instructions. Use overhead bridge crane, other handling equipment and a variety of hand tools. * Change molds or cores of a variety of sizes to produce blanks, covers, bridges, and composites in various injection molding machines.
* Set and clamp molds in press.
Connect water lines, set strokes, temperatures, pressures, and cycle machine to produce parts.
Key in and select program on NC machines. Make manual adjustments as necessary. * Cycle machines and check parts to quality standards and start automatic operation.
Set up and program robots where applicable.
* Change material, color, virgin, or regrind as designated and material feeding from hopper or gaylord.
* Perform basic electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic troubleshooting. Diagnose problems to resolve complex problems. * Perform minor maintenance to molds or machines as required; replumbing, changing heater bands and trouble shoot to determine malfunction or quality defect.
* Maintain established quality and quantity standards.
Follow prescribed safety precautions, established company and department policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
Detect and report improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials and questionable conditions to proper supervision. Maintain work area(s) and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe condition. * Maintain daily production and other records as required.
Qualifications: * Demonstrated background performing the above or related duties in an injection molding manufacturing environment.
