Job Requisition Number: 507117 The qualified candidate will provide hardware engineering support to the government customer.
Perform electrical, mechanical or component and process engineering functions on contracted programs such as: develop and manage component level requirements allocated to hardware, develop hardware architecture, develop hardware design and implementation concepts, analyze and select Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) hardware components, develop design documentation, develop and document sub-system and component level software and firmware, design, develop and document Special Test Equipment (STE), conduct sub-system and component level integration and test, support system level integration and test, and conduct site installation.
An individual at this level should be demonstrating the leadership ability to head sm all work groups or program teams.
Candidate should have most of the following qualifications: Have the ability to: "Design, construct, and place into operation a backup ANDVT-based Milstar voice conferencing system.
"Reconfigur Milstar UHF antenna system to enable steering on both ground terminals.
"Install, interface UHF radios for secure ground-air line-of-site voice capability as well as for secure voice and data ground-air communications.
"Interface commercial mini-disk recorder to provide voice conferencing record/play-back capability.
Current local candidate preferred.
Must Have the Following: Leadership ability with good interpersonal, communication, negotiating, and administrative skills.
Strong technical background in hardware engineering.
Proactive attitude with ability to be productive in an ad hoc tasking environment.
BS in a related technical disc ipline; engineering preferred.
Knowledge of tools such as CAE, CAD, and PDM required.
8 years minimum work experience in an engineering field.
Experience with hardware development lifecycle and development processes and procedures required.
Working knowledge of commercial and military specifications and standards related to hardware design and documentation required.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, run-lists, and schematics required.
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED.
