Financial Analsyst: Confidential
Financial Analsyst needed for Non-Profit Organization located in West Palm Beach.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Financial Analyst works with budget managers and department heads through various stages of the budget process.
The Financial Analyst also reviews agency budgets for the allocation process.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist in the analysis of financial data and extract and define relevant information; interpret data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability Perform statistical, cost, and financial analysis of reported data Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis Apply a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations; verify documents for completeness and compliance with government and private agencies Compile and analyze monthly budget reports for staff and prepares reports for board of directors committees Play an active role in the preparation of the annual operating budget Conduct monthly reconciliations of accounts receivable Participate in the annual audit of the consolidated financial statements Maintain the fixed assets system Assist in the review and allocation process of agency budget applications Play a role in developing and implementing accounting procedures Initiate wire transfers and serve as back up to the staff accountant for petty cash Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 5+ years financial/accounting experience in the non-profit industry with previous supervisory experience Strong knowledge of GAAP MIP Accounting Software required.
Strong knowledge of basic office computing, including MS Office (Word and Excel) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required (Verbal and Written) Highly organized with proven ability to manage multiple tasks Sound work ethic and flexibility to get the job done Preferred Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting
